Tall skinny mocha and a muffin.
Oct. 16th, 2011 10:20 pmEvelyn was not used to hanging too much with the others outside of the hero arena, it felt the slightest bit odd to have arranged this little get together but here she was. And hopefully he would arrive soon. She checked her phone again, the text said he would be arriving shortly and that was a few minutes ago.
Until he arrived she'd been enjoying her coffee, she was on her third cup. dad would have scolded her for drinking too much of a stimulant. That sort of thing could effect her reflex reaction time. Unlike her father Evey was not work minded all the time, she was far more relaxed. At least relaxed at most circumstances, meeting a teammate outside of the school or 'work' setting was still a bit uneasy for her.
Carter was a powerhouse, she'd seen him fighting and he was impressive. She lacked his invulnerability but she also had skills and agility he lacked. the way she saw it they would make a pretty decent team up. Her dad had done similar things before and was actually the one who gave her the idea.
So here she was, asking Carter out for coffee so they could have a chance to talk without the ever present eyes and ears and sometimes minds, of the rest of the team.
