She's a sharp one

It was a question of trust really, Carter knew her skill was there. All she ever had to do was watch something once and could replicate it perfectly, so that wasn't the issue.
It all came down to trusting another human being with a blade perfectly capable of slicing through skin and tissue and cartilage all the way to the major arteries. That was the trust factor, and maybe a little bit of a way for him to see how sometimes Gene had gotten her worked up if he teased her by running a claw down her arm or across her back.
Not that Gene ever had any designs on her, he just had a really good sense of humor and was amused by that freak trait of hers to get turned on by danger. It was as if her life could have gone either way on the path of hero or villain, but her father nudged her into the hands of people who would keep her on the straight and narrow.
Well, mostly anyway.
"Ok, so, um, why don't you have a seat." She'd set up the room while he was taking a shower and gestured to the chair that sat ready for him and a small tray table next to it with a bowl and towel and a little cup.

She's saved his ass more than a few times in the field, which definitely buys a lot of leeway, but even that's not the big one. The big one is how many times she's had his back outside of missions. It's the conversations that stretch on late into the night, the smile on her face when she wakes up in the morning, the dinner dates, the stupid alcohol-fueled bets ...
Evey's capable enough that the only way he gets hurt is if she decides to hurt him, and she's never gonna do that. Sure, there's some little, instinctive lizard-brain chunk of him that's going to be reflexively anxious about the fact that there's a very sharp straight-razor pressed up against his throat, but the rest of him is more than enough to override it.
End result, he emerges from the bathroom, a towel belted around his waist, and looks completely at ease as he lowers himself into the waiting chair.
"All yours, babe."

She knew what she was doing, she'd watch a ton of videos on it, but she still had those butterflies in her belly. Maybe that was why this was so exciting, because even knowing she could do it was still giving her a rush.
"OK, so traditionally it starts with a hot cloth to soften the skin and hair and open the pores. So close your eyes and tip your head back." She waited for him to do it before she took a seat on his legs. The easiest way to position herself to do this. She wrung the cloth out and the water dripped melodically into the bowl until it was only damp, and sh drew the extremely warm but not hot cloth over his skin. Across his forehead, down his cheeks and along his jaw until she swept it down his neck.
She dipped the cloth into the water and wrung it again before she laid it gently along his chin and upward covering his face except his nose, in soft, steamy heat.

What she needs to do, coincidentally, feels really nice. He lets out a gentle hum of contentment as she rubs down his face and neck.
"This might be something we need to do more often."
His voice is a little muffled thanks to the towel, but you can hear the smile in it easy enough.
